There
are hundreds of thousands of refugees and other
displaced people living on the Thai side of
the border between Thailand and Burma.
Nine refugee camps stretch along western Thailand's
border with Myanmar. Mae La camp, situated 60
km north of Mae Sot is the largest. In the coming
years many refugees will likely be resettled.
